Pros and cons of Pacer 5K: run faster races app for iPhone and iPad

Pacer 5K: run faster races app good for

Just completed my first 7k race after using the Couch to 5K App. Started this next challenge in my training today and suddenly its fun to run again.
I gave the original 5k runner app 5 stars, this app is a great follow up and you can use the original Apple Watch 5k app with it.
I love this app, I used the couch to 5k one and am now using the pacer app to continue and it really motivates me! I just wish that when I ran on a treadmill it would allow me to enter the distance I ran and calories I burned so I can keep track of it in the app since obviously it cant do it itself with no GPS.
I like the app and how it progresses your training. Easy to follow. Happy run everybody!
I started with the 5k and now Im up to the 5k pacer. Ive lost 11.5 pounds and feel great! I cant wait to move up to a 10k
No joke. Couldnt run more than 5 minutes straight. Now Im doing a 5 k. And then another 5 k after. Started using this and the 10 k app together every other day. And Ive lost 15 lbs. on my way to some triathlons.

Some bad moments

The app gets me trapped on a locked screen that I cant swipe or navigate out - happens out of nowhere. Also, like other users, it doesnt save my runs or show progress in any detail in the history. Waste of time, very annoying app.
I loved the 5k runner app, even though it ramped up to 45 minutes per day when it advertised only needing 30. Now this app advertises the same thing, but STARTS needing more than 30 minutes right away, and eventually gets up to 60. I know for some people that is fine, but I dont have that long to run, and bought this app thinking the program would only take 30-45 minutes. Very disappointed by the false advertising. Im giving it 2 stars instead of just 1 as the program itself is still good.
I was using this app and loved it, but it has changed and is now unusable. Very disappointing. I deleted it. :(
I recently ran a 5k and this app helped me a lot. The interval training helped me finish the race, which was my first 5k
I am 47 years old and I increased my speed within 2 weeks! Excellent app
I am a fairly new runner (9 mos) and have run a few 5k races and even a 5 miler. I used C25k to get me going and then just sort of accepted my snail pace figuring that at least I was running regularly and finishing races. I am not looking to bring home medals but I do like to have a continual challenge and I find that if I run a slow and steady 5k I do not get the high as mych anymore as when it was new to me. Running further at a snail pace is an option but I have little kids and other thing in life i have to do. The solution for me has been this training with intervals. I initially balked at the walking intervals but I do find I need it! And unbelievable after 3 weeks I have knocked about 45 sec off my mile. Good stuff!
